BACK TO STYLE: The Ultimate Girls Night

From jewelry to jeans, make-up beautifying to hair styling, for “Back to Style Night”, we’ve gathered the stellar ensemble that will lay the groundwork to launch you back into style.

Suite Five Salon announces an exhibition of work by San Francisco artist, Koch, August 7 – September 27, 2008. A reception for the artist will be held on Thursday, August 7, from 6:00 to 7:30pm.

The San Francisco artist Koch is very much informed by “the San Francisco School of Abstract Expressionism” and he himself has stated Jack Jefferson and early Frank Lobdell works as an influence. The artist’s dark and  “non-decorative” pallet of burnt umbers and raw sienna are emotive. However, the paintings entice the viewer’s eye to grapple between the macro and micro. The subsequent abstract planes are created by the raw power of simple and abstract brushstrokes.
